The Ptarmigan Restaurant is on Cairn Gorm Mountain. The area is popular for ski-ing in the winter, but don't worry, you don't have to get on a chair lift in your wedding finery, there is a funicular railway to take you up to the Restaurant.

On the day of the wedding, drinks will be served for our guests at the base station from 4.30pm onwards, and we'll hope you all make it up safely in the funicular by 6.30 to the Restaurant to enjoy the sunset and the wedding. Just one request - the Mountain is part of the Cairn Gorm National Park and in order to protect the landscape and the wildlife, please don't throw confetti or rice - or anything else in fact, except flower petals, and some shapes on the dance floor later.

The wedding, dinner and dancing will be in the Restaurant until 1 a.m. For those with stamina, there will be a late bar at the Colyumbridge Hilton from 1 a.m on.
